Mackinac Island, Michigan is a fabulous location to be Married! There are no cars allowed on the island so walking, biking, and horse drawn carriage are the means of transportation. Life is slow paced and the island is beautiful! I work at all of the Mackinac Island Locations doing Weddings, Family Images, Pet Photography, Children, Senior Images, and more. Places like The Grand Hotel, Mission Point Resort, The Inn at Stonecliffe, The Island House, Iroquois Hotel, Chippewa Hotel, Little Stone Church, St. Anne's Catholic Church, Fort Mackinac, Historic Mission Church, and all Mackinac Island Wedding locations.

The 2010 Mackinac Island Wedding season is about to begin. The weather has been everything but normal this year. Last year the snowmobiles were still running today and now there isn’t but a hint of snow on the ground. We have already seen 80+ degree temps that have broken records too. Who knows what the weather will be like this year. Hopefully it will be just a bit warmer than last summer on the island though.

Paul Retherford Wedding Photography (Me) is still available for Wedding Photography commisions on Mackinac Island. I have a handful of Weddings booked this year on Mackinaw Island and I will be happy to book some more Photography sessions and Weddings. I capture Weddings, trash the dress, fash the dress, family, pet, engagement, senior, lifestyle and whatever else you can think up. I have had everything from simple headshots all the way to a large Wedding on Mackinac Island, Michigan.

Mackinac Island is a destination location in Northern Michigan that is a motor-free island. The common modes of transportation are feet, bike, and carriage. The island has a beautiful downtown with a mix of boutique and trendy shops with lots of food and fudge. Bring the entire family and enjoy a vacation. Do a hike around the island, rent a horse and carriage, bike the 10-mile island loop, check out the arch rock, see beautiful landscapes gardens and houses, relax on the lawn by the lake, bring your dog, fly a kite, shop, or just people watch and make new friends.

How about your high school senior pictures on a cool island like Mackinac Island? The images are truly spectacular and the opportunities for images are spectacular. Everything from water to nature to architecture to horses…cool stuff!

The fash the dress/trash the dress sessions on Mackinac Island, Michigan are really awesome! Hire a horse carriage to travel around the island and I will lead and follow you on my bike and capture fabulous images in and out of the carriage. I create images that tell your story of the trip around the island and the love and emotion between the two of you. Mackinac Island Destination Dream Wedding Weekend

Weddings on Mackinac Island, Michigan

The Mackinac Island Destination Dream Wedding Weekend hosted by the Mackinac Island Visitor Bureau is a fantastic way to see the beautiful Island in Northern Michigan and get ideas for your Wedding on Mackinac Island, Michigan.

The weekend is balanced out to allow you to visit locations around Mackinac Island and meet some of the Vendors available for your Wedding on the Island. As a member of the Mackinac Island Tourism Bureau, vendors are allowed to set up space in island locations to visit with the incoming brides and grooms on Saturday.

Unfortunately, I, Paul Retherford Wedding Photography, will be busy shooting a Wedding at Castle Farms on Saturday and I will not be on Mackinac Island until Sunday to meet with people. If you would like to set up an appointment please call me at 231.445.1793 or email me at paul@paulretherford.com
