Mackinac Island, Michigan is a fabulous location to be Married! There are no cars allowed on the island so walking, biking, and horse drawn carriage are the means of transportation. Life is slow paced and the island is beautiful! I work at all of the Mackinac Island Locations doing Weddings, Family Images, Pet Photography, Children, Senior Images, and more. Mission Point Resort Wedding | Mackinac Island, MI

Shelly and Dennis are a prime example of a couple in LOVE! The Gazebo at Mission Point Resort on Mackinac Island, Michigan was the location of their beautiful Wedding. It was just a perfect sunny day on Mackinac Island in Northern Michigan.

The Wedding Ceremony at the Gazebo at Mission Point was very beautiful and short. It was just the two of them coming from Illinois for a fabulous elopement. Everyone cried in attendance and the couple was just full of life. After the ceremony a bottle of Champagne was delivered to the Ceremony location for a couples toast.

The Horse Drawn Carriage from Arrow Head Carriage Tours, Phone 906.847.6112, arrived right on time and pulled onto the lawn to pick up the bride and groom. We had a wonderful cruise around Mackinac Island. The downtown was electric with applause for the couple and we captured every moment of their time in the spotlight. The white Wedding carriage with Arrow Head is a beauty and makes for a fabulous prop in the images.

The flowers at Mission Point Resort Gazebo Wedding were awesome and they were designed by Weber’s Floral and Gift on Mackinac Island, Michigan. I would recommend Weber’s Flowers for any event. They really do a great job. Shelly’s favorite color is Red and she has beautiful, fresh red roses in both the Wedding bouquet and the boutinerre.

Mackinac Island hosts a couple golf courses for the bachelor party on the island. There are lots of restaurants, bars, snack shops, and don’t forget the world class fudge shops too! Bike the island on a smooth paved road around the edge or take off on the trails to see the natural part of Mackinac Island. There is also a small landing strip to fly right in to the island. Ferry boats arrive from Mackinaw City and St. Ignace are regular schedules all throughout the day.

The island life is relaxed. You will feel the stress level fall immediately and you will find that people on Mackinac Island are very friendly and accommodating. Feel free to stop by the Mackinac Island Visitor Bureau or Chamber of Commerce on Mackinac Island. It is a couple blocks from the ferry dock and they are VERY helpful in recommending activites, places to eat, and just welcoming you to the island.
