Mackinac Island, Michigan is a fabulous location to be Married! There are no cars allowed on the island so walking, biking, and horse drawn carriage are the means of transportation. Life is slow paced and the island is beautiful! I work at all of the Mackinac Island Locations doing Weddings, Family Images, Pet Photography, Children, Senior Images, and more. Just a short walk from all of the Mackinac Island ferries is a Wedding location on Mackinac Island called Hotel Iroquois on the beach. You can elope to Mackinac Island, get married right on the water, in a nice landscaped lawn, and then have a reception at a beautiful restaurant with windows that wrap all the way around the building and provide tons of light.

Elise and Thomas did just that last week. They came up to Mackinac Island from their home in Tennessee and brought family with them to get married on an Mackinac Island. There were twelve total family members that attended the Wedding Ceremony and Wedding Reception at the Carriage House at the Hotel Iroquois. The clouds were rolling through but the weather held off long enough for them.

Hotel Iroquois Wedding ~ Mission Point Photo Session

Last week I had two shoots on Mackinac Island. The first was an Anniversary shoot where the couple wore their Wedding clothes and we traveled from Mission Point Resort around Mackinac Island and back to the Resort to finish up images, and the second shoot was a outdoor Wedding on Mackinac Island at Hotel Iroquois on the Beach. Both shoots were awesome weather and we had a grand time working on the island.
